Privacy & consent

We never publish anyone else’s words without their OK. Here is what that means in practice, in plain language.

01What we record

The Mac app records on your machine, only when you say so: your camera, your microphone and the call audio, on separate tracks. You can also upload a recording. CallToClips doesn’t join your calls as a bot.

02Other people on your calls

By default only you are clipped. If a guest appears in a moment, publishing waits until you’ve marked that they agreed. We give you a one-line message to ask.

Recording laws differ by place. In many (including Switzerland, California and the EU) everyone must agree to be recorded, so tell them before you start. That duty is yours as the person recording; CallToClips is built to make it easy to meet, not to meet it for you.

03What we do with your recordings

  • We transcribe them, find the moments worth posting, write hooks and render clips.
  • Recordings are stored encrypted.
  • Source video is deleted after 30 days on Creator and 90 days on Pro.
  • We don’t train models on your calls.

04What gets published

Only what you approve, on the schedule you set. Hooks may reframe what you said; they may not claim what you didn’t.

05Service providers

We use third-party providers for transcription, language models, storage, payments and publishing to the platforms you connect. [To do before launch: list each provider, what it receives and where it is located.]

06Your choices

You can ask to see, export or delete your data at any time. [To do before launch: confirm the legal basis, retention of account data, and applicable regimes (Swiss FADP, GDPR, CCPA) with counsel.]
